Admin Noted:- August 28, 1990. First flight of the Lockheed-led ATF. Design team rolls out the first two YF-22A prototypes at Lockheed's Plant 10 in Palmdale. The first YF-22A flies on September 29 piloted by Lockheed ATF chief test pilot Dave Ferguson. The YF-22A is powered by a pair of General Electric YF120-GE-100 turbofans
