The colonel is an exchange pilot from the Arizona Air National Guard's 162nd Fighter Wing at Tucson, Ariz. After a three-year tour with the Dutch air force's 1st Fighter Wing, he will soon return home and pass on what he has learned about the Netherlands's NATO role to his fellow pilots. 'Makos' support ground forces - Ali Base, Iraq -- After spending here because of a weather diversion, Lt. Col. Jose Monteagudo gets into the cockpit of his F-16 Fighting Falcon on October 18th. The colonel flies with the 332nd Expeditionary Fighter Squadron at Balad Air Base, Iraq. He is deployed from the 482nd Fighter Wing at Homestead ARB, Fla.
