    The second of two F-16s, repaired for the 388th Fighter Wing by the 649th Combat Logistics Support Squadron, was formally returned to the 388th on October 29th, 2007. The jet, F-16C block 40 #88-0421, was damaged in 2003 while parked on the tarmac of an air base in southwest Asia. The 649th deployed a 10-member team to disassemble and ship both aircraft to Hill AFB for repair in their maintenance facility. The 649th started work on the jet in June of 2005 and finished on October 2nd, 2007, at a cost of $969,000. As part of the repair, the aircraft's front section was replaced with parts taken from a Navy F-16. (Pictured from left to right: Lt. Col.
