Inadvertent Jettison of an F-16D Canopy

On January 16 the 62FS at Luke AFB, AZ experienced the inadvertent jettison of an F-16D canopy. The aircraft involved was #83-1184, block 25D.
The canopy contacted the vertical tail during the event, but there were no injuries to ground personnel. No other details are available at this time.
USAF F-16D 83-1184 damage after ground crew member accidentally pulled the wrong handle causing canopy to jettison. Amazingly the canopy came down and was split by the aircraft tail.
