F-16 crashes at Holloman Air Force

An F-16C from the 49th Fighter Wing at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico crashed while landing Monday, 13th July, the base said in a press release.
The crash occurred at about 18:00hrs local time. The pilot onboard ejected successfully and is currently being treated for minor injuries, the statement continued to say.
The accident was the second in two weeks involving F-16s. On July 1, 1st Lt. David Schmitz of the 77th Fighter Squadron was killed when his F-16 crashed during a "routine training mission" in South Carolina.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway, the base said.
