AFRC deploys F-16Cs to Kunsan AB

The U.S. Air Force deployed 12 F-16C aircraft from Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas, and Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla., to Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 11 for approximately four months as part of a scheduled deployment.
The approximately 350 Airmen and 12 F-16Cs, activated as the 457th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, will work alongside ROK-US alliance partners to maintain peace and stability to the region.
"This deployment reaffirms our commitment in providing the right combat air power and capabilities to protect the Republic of Korea," said Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Remington, 7th Air Force commander.
