Curtiss-Wright awarded F-16 contract by Lockheed Martin

October 7, 2008 (by Asif Shamim) - Charlotte based Curtiss-Wright Controls Inc. have been awarded a multi-year contract valued at over $14 million from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics to provide F-16 Leading Edge Flap Rotary Actuators and attachment Tie Bars.
This new contract is a follow on to an existing work which Lockheed Martin had awarded to Curtiss-Wright Controlʼs who have been providing Leading Edge Flap Rotary Actuators for the F-16 since 1991.

The Leading Edge Flap Actuators and Tie Bars provide both the mechanical connections and active operation of the F-16ʼs wings Leading Edge Flap Control Surface.
