Hampson Industries to supply F-16 canopies

June 11, 2008 (by Asif Shamim) - According to Thomson Financial News, Hampson Industries Plc. an aerospace parts supplier has won a contract worth 20 Million pounds to supply canopies for Lockheed Martin built F-16 aircraft.

The companies US subsidiary Texstars Inc. has secured the exclusive five year contract to supply F-16 canopies and spares to both US and foreign customers.

Chief executive Kim Ward said "Previous contracts to supply F-16 canopies were awarded on an annual basis, often with requirements spilt between more than one supplier".

"This contract attests to the confidence placed in Texstars by the US Air Force and underpins our confidence in the future strategic growth of our aerospace composites & transparencies division."
