Lockheed wins $748 mln contract for F-16

February 6, 2007 (by Lieven Dewitte) - Lockheed Martin was awarded a $748 million contract for engineering changes to the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the Pentagon said on Monday.
The effort will begin work under the Engineering Change Proposal 2687, which will delete two aircraft modification kits due to attrition and incorporates multiple customers requested configuration changes into the baseline program, which supports the F-16 aircraft.

The contract will also support foreign military sales to Turkey.

The work is scheduled to be completed by February 2016.
