Turkish Air force pilot killed in F-16 crash near Diyarbakir

A Turkish F-16C block 40 from the 8th Main Jet Base (8 AJÜ) has crashed today. Unfortunately the Viper pilot lost his life in the accident.
The Turkish F-16 pilot, Bahadır Şahin, died when his F-16 fighter crashed in a mountainous area of southeast Turkey.
The accident occurred during a training exercise in the province of Bitlis, a statement said, adding that the cause of the crash was still under investigation.
The jet belongs to the 181 Filo "Panther (Pars)" and had taken off from an airbase in Diyarbakir.
