183rd FW participates in Sentry White Falcon 2005

Six F-16C Fighting Falcons from the 183rd FW Illinois ANG departed to Poland to train with Polish MiGs-29A and Su-22 jets. The exercise called Sentry White Falcon 2005 will be held from 3rd to 17th June in 31st AB in Krzesiny- Poznan, Poland.
Pilots from the 170th FS will be training escorting, intercepting and some air-to-ground tasks. Moreover US ground crews will be training future Polish ground crews as they are waiting to receive their F-16Cs.
Last year, it was the 182nd FS "Lonestar Gunfighters" that participated in Sentry White Falcon.
The 183rd Fighter Wing deployed to Poland before: in support of "Operation Southern Watch" in 1996 and 1997 and in support of Operation Eagle's Talon Partner in Peace (1997).
