Lockheed gets $2 bln contract for Polish F-16s

May 5, 2003 (by Lieven Dewitte) - Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Co. has won a $1.97 billion contract to supply a 36 F-16C block 52 and 12 F-16D Block 52 aircraft for the Poland F-16 Program (Peace Sky).
At this time, $1,746,285,512 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete October 2008. Solicitations began July 2002, and negotiations were completed April 2003.

The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
