Errors and Omissions
79-0338 service at Edwards AFB 1983
79-0338 was flown to Edwards F-16 CTF by an Edwards test pilot for troubleshooting of an engine surge issue McDill couldn't solve. Failed pitot static leak check during acceptance inspection. Leaking VVI instrument effecting static pressure sensing. Replaced VVI, Replace dozens and dozens of corroded fasteners from sea air at McDill. Jet became reliable chase and pilot flight hours bird at Edwards for months before McDill finally wanted it back.
