I was with him in SVO class 85-6/7. He was a very professional pilot. Very selfdemanding. It was a shock hearing the news he lost his life during his shooting run at Vliehors range in 1992. He was flying the Dutch James Bond F-16 (J-007) for a mission from Leeuwarden although based at Twenthe AB (313sq).

I knew Willem from ENJJPT class 87-07. He was a great guy, and a good friend. He is missed dearly.
