	Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Sonnenberg 15 June 2007
Lt.Col. Kevin Sonnenberg was a farmer and flew with Delta Airlines when not enroled with the Ohio ANG. He lived in McClure, Ohio. In a ceremony on September 9th, 2007 a new logistics building at Toledo ANGB was honoured in his remembrance.

It was Major Sonnenberg. I was at the crash scene for this accident. Very sad indeed. Rest in peace brother.

Thats correct he was a major but he was posthumously promoted to Lt.Col.

Rescue

When we got on the helicopters we thought we were going to bring him home. It wasn't until 2 minutes before our black hawks landed we found out he wasn't able to eject. His aircraft went down in a peaceful stretch of empty dessert. I spent ten hours behind my machine gun in the dessert sun guarding him and aircraft before help arrived. May he eternally RIP.
