Mike was born on June 21st, 1959 in Ozark. An honor graduate of Carroll High School in Ozark, he served as SGA president and was awarded the Department of the Army Superior Cadet Award all three years he was enrolled in the JROTC program. He served as Battalion Commander his senior year.

Mike was a member of the Class of 1981 at the USAF Academy. He received his MPA degree from Golden Gate University. While at the Academy he was listed on the Commandant's List for outstanding military performance every semester and commanded a squadron of 120 cadets his senior year.

Upon graduation, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and served as an instructor pilot and later flew F-16s. At the time of his death, he was a Captain with American Airlines.

Mike Parker passed away on June 8th, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer.
