Best Commander I've Had the Privilege to Work For
Art Manyweather, Jan 09, 2009 - 05:36 PM

He was my Wing Commander at England AFB, LA from 86-89. Tall, lean, and his presence alone commanded attention. Steely eyes that pierce right through you. Over all a fair and just man. Seem to be a very quiet man on the outside, but whoever heard of a quiet Wing Commander. Beautiful wife. Beautiful couple. I nor my wife will never forget him. Wishing much peace to the family and God Bless!

I want to salute your dignity for your country. Not only Major General Glenn Airliss Profitt Junior but his father Glenn A, Profitt also had distinguished carrier in the U.S.A.F. He was a bombardier Navigator at World War II. Even though Profitt Jr. Perished in a Learjet Crash and died before his father, he will always be remembered as his father who continued the Profitt Legecy on United States Air Force. Profitt Jr. took parts in many important and significant war that U.S. Participated. He was Commander of Electronic Warfare at Persian Gulf War's Operation Desert Strom. Elec. Warfare is important on modern warfare that it can be considered as the backbone of the war. He was Brigadier General at the time of operation desert strom. As major General he was Director of Plans and Operations USAF. I believe that If he had survived Learjet Crash, he would have definitely become four star USAF General.

I was his crew chief while he was the Wing Commander at EAFB, we shared aircraft 80-0164 as the Wing King's jet. He was a good man, and a great commander. He set high standards and did his best to make sure you could succeed. RIP sir.
