Canada selects F-35 For Next-Generation fighter

Jul 16, 2010 - The Government of Canada announced plans to acquire the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II as the country's next-generation fighter aircraft. The F-35 will replace Canada's fleet of CF-18 Hornets that entered service in the early 1980s. [Read more...]

F-35C confirms Carrier-Landing strength predictions
CG-1, the ground test article for the Lockheed Martin F-35 carrier variant, is positioned for its final drop test at Vought Aircraft Industries in Dallas on June 9th, 2010. The series of drop tests were designed to mimic landing conditions on a carrier deck and resulted in no load exceedances or structural issues. Edwards receives first two F-35A's
