US F-16 crashes in Germany - Pilot safe

A pilot ejected from a U.S. F-16 before it crashed Tuesday morning around 09:00h in a forested area in southern Germany. He parachuted to safety but suffered minor injuries which required medical attention, according to a local police spokesman.

Iraqi Air Force F-16 crashed during night training mission

An Iraqi F-16 assigned to the 162nd Wing, Arizona ANG, crashed sometime around 20.00h today, five miles east of Douglas Municipal Airport, while partaking in a night training mission. The Iraqi pilot, Brig. Gen. Rasid Mohammed Sidq, is believed to have been killed in this mishap.
