Production of ASPIS II electronic warfare suite started

Advanced Airborne Reconnaissance System sucessfully tested on the F-16

BAE systems successfully demonstrated its Advanced Airborne Reconnaissance System (AARS) during August flight trials at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. AARS was flown on a U.S. Air Force F-16 Block 50 fighter aircraft at altitudes up to 50,000 feet.

Raytheon won a $242 million contract from Greece's air force to provide jamming equipment for F-16 fighter jets. Under the contract, Raytheon will supply the Hellenic Air Force with a new, enhanced version of the "Advanced Self- Protection Integrated Suite," or ASPIS II.
