In USAF maintenance speak; a 'Code-1' jet has no squawks from the flight, 'Code-2' has minor defects, but is able to fly the next scheduled mission and 'Code-3' which is 'Broke Dick' as we used to say and unable to fly until the grounding condition is fixed and the 'Red X' is signed off in the AFTO 781 forms.
