The first fighter pilot assigned was Major (Lt. Col.) Steve Wall. The first Dedicated Crew Chief assigned was SSgt. James (Jim) Greiner, and the first Assistant Crew Chief assigned was A1C Kenneth (Ken) Goucher. The aircraft held the Code One record for the wing (58th) with 50 consecutive Code Ones. It was selected to be the 12th AF Commanders Jet in December of 1987.
