USAF F-16C block 30 #86-0290 from the 18th AS taxi's down Eielson's flight line for the very first time on January 20th, 2008. The F-16s will be used for training purposes in exercises such as Red Flag - Alaska. About 40 F-16s are being permanently swapped this week between the 354th FW at Eielson AFB and the 80th FW at Kunsan AFB in an effort to put newer, more capable aircraft on the Korean peninsula.
