This a kind of a rare photo from my understanding. When the 181st FW/113th FS received the F-16 the Tail code for the unit was to be changed from "HF" to "TH" but a few vipers were painted before the change happend. -
on 2024-Dec-13 09:28:39 Racer497 said So this was my Dad's jet. What he told me is that his and like 4 others where painted at Hahn before we where authorized to go use TH yet. Texas reserve unit had it since the 70s when they had thuds. Getting TH wasn't a done deal yet so a few got HF. The texas unit used TF for a few years for a few years for Texas Falcons, then to TX. I think his carried HF the longest maybe 8 month or so after conversion. Also the reason he chose that yet was as he said it was lucky 13's.
