Skeeter has been retired. USAF F-16C block 30 #86-0246 is departing NAS Fort Worth on its final flight on August 23rd, 2023 direct to AMARG. Fatigue cracks necessitated retirement rather than moving on to another unit as the 457th moves on the F-35. This aircraft had been the one painted up with the Texas Flag and nicknamed Skeeter for the cartoon mosquito in the squadron insignia. [Photo by Keith Snyder]
