How ironic... 8098 and 8089 in the same shot. I was with the 58th CRS Egress at Luke (85-88) when both of these jets were stationed there. I worked swing shift at the time. We had the seats and canopies removed from both jets for a period of time for maintenance. When it came time to reinstall the seats and canopy on 8098, I accidentally grabbed the canopy for 8089. After 4 hours of attempting to rig the canopy, my mistake was noticed. We removed 8089's canopy and put 8098's canopy back on with only minor rigging needed. We finally went home when we met day shift at 0700 hours, 15 hours after our shift started. NOTICE: You can NOT swap canopies from one jet to another. It wont fit, as we found out the hard way.
