Royal Netherlands Air Force F-16s

RNlAF F-16A block 15 #J-366 from 315 sqn is photographed as an operational instructional airframe at Gilze-Rijen AB in 1989, shortly after the technical F-16 school was relocated there to prepare ground and technical staff of 314 sqn for the upcoming transition from the NF-5 to the F-16. The banner holds all base badges where the operational technical training unit (OAF-16) had been based and is the chronological order of F-16 deployment along the RNlAF airbases at the peak of F-16 service. The questionmark refers to the LETS at Arnhem (airforce electronic and technical academy) to whoms command the OAF16 unit always was attached, but it was always deployed to operational airbases during its existence. That homecoming to Arnhem never occurred, as the whole LETS Arnhem itself was ultimately transferred to Gilze-Rijen. [Photo by Bert van Dalen]

Location identified by Nico de Haan ex 315 Sq as Hangar 7 at Twenthe Airbase. (Thanks Nico!)
Date is pre-sept 1988 and post-july 1987, as the aircraft is still is panted as a 315 Sq aircraft instead of 313 Sq, but no longer has the markings i applied on it as of july 1987 onwards.
Hangar 7 held the periodic instructional airframe for the F-16 school located at Twenthe airbase, and aircraft were drawn from the operational aircraft, and then returned to the squadron after some time.
