Danish defence source:

For those that do not read danish, pilot ejected and is safe.

Danish TV Syd reports the F-16 had problems with undercarriage during takeoff, and the plane was ditched in the Wadden Sea west of danish coast after the pilot ejected over Rømø Island.

Thanks for the updates. We posted a news article about it: Danish F-16 plunges into North Sea after pilot safely ejected.

Can anyone confirm it is jet E-070 / #83-1070 from RDAF Esk 727?

One of the first crashes of a Belgian F-16 was also with a MLG problem.

One MLG would not extend at all. He was also talking to Maintenance, but no go.
Controlled ejection after all other options failed.

(Pilot ejected over the Ardennes and was safe).

Not sure about reports of fuel issues contributing but do know that upon take off the a/c experienced blown MLG tire and damage to structural fittings known as drag braces. After assessing the situation the driver punched out and the a/c crashed into the sea. Believe it was a Block 15. (Word on damaged drag braces came after those parts were retrieved.) Investigations ongoing.
