Why no color-tone camouflage on the F-35 like we see on the F-22? Anyone know?

HMMMMM I wonder if it will get new paint then. its already in the overall grey scheme. Also, do we know if it and AF4-6-7 will get ED tailcodes? Now that AF-6/7 are going to edwards instead of eglin.........

Eglin just got a mock up for display. Its in the usual grey and its got the ot code with the checkers. Id bet they modeled it after whats expected to be the standard camo. Heres the link

Why would it need anything other than the current gray scheme?
If I look at Lock Mart's "house" F16 it sports the current 1 shade of gray scheme. To my admittedly civilian eye it looks effective. I would also imagine that a 1 tone paint job is cheaper and easier to maintain?

WHAT? Well it cant be EG or ET coded because its not going to Eglin!!! Maybe they painted the code before the decision to switch and they will have to repaint the code???

It was just painted so that's not the case, I think you'll be surprised judging from your response, I'm not trying to be an a$$ by not saying what it is I just don't want to get burned, been there done that.

Well I think Ill bet on the EG code anyway. Maybe they figured it will eventually end up at Eglin after some testing so they put the EG code on. Would be cool to see an ET or maybe a new code we havent seen before.
