The comprehensive HG5 colorscheme topic

Does anyone know if there is a Federal Standard paint number for both the light and dark HGV jets? Not only the main greys but the black/white used for the tailcodes and unit markings?

Or better yet but I'm sure it is impossible but I would love to get a 2" square color sample of each of those colors...

Not sure what you mean by "black/white used for tailcodes" - it is FS36375, while the HG5 is FS36170.

Thanks for the reply Boman. Below is a couple pics of HG jets, one night paint SDANG jet and one day paint Shaw jet. On the SDANG jet you can see the LOBO logo and tail number are in black and white different than the main paint color. And on the Shaw jet the tail number and Unit ID "SW" are in a black. Also is the "HG5 is FS36170" the dark HG paint?

Both are FS36170. The challenge with this color is that it changes appearance depending on the light. Originally all markings where FS36375, however later the tail number and letters where changed to black while walkways, safety stencils etc. remain in FS36375. Both styles are still in full use, even within the same unit.
Some units also started out with the unit markings in FS36375, only to change to the black style later - 88-0422 from the 114FW 176FS which you showed is one of these.
