The Royal Australian Air Force will be the first foreign operator of the advanced AIM-260A JATM air-to-air missile
, according to U.S. sources speaking to Naval News on condition of anonymity. The deal also opens the door for other AIM-120D-3 operators to procure AIM-260As, with current priority on Indo-Pacific allies.

Correct if I'm wrong, but I think Japan is currently the only other country in Indo-Pacific that currently has been approved for and has bought AIM-120D-3. In Europe this includes (at least) Germany, UK, Netherlands, Poland, Italy and Finland. Basically only countries that have bought F-35s and I think European countries don't have that pressing need for JATM as F-35 combined with AIM-120D-3 (or Meteor in some cases) will be more than enough to handle any threat (Russia) towards them. Japan might definitely be interested in JATM too given their proximity to China, Russia and NK and all kinds of tensions out there.

Norway also have an order for AIM-120D-3 with delivery before end of 2028 for the complete order.
