Cockpit switches On/Off position Top/Bottom standard?

Hello,
Just working on my home EV and I'd like to use switches like this:

in my vehicle, like those used in many aircrafts cockpits, eg.: this from F-16:

My question is: are there any rules in military or civil aircrafts, that switch like this is in ON mode when moved to TOP/UP?
In this photo of F-16 cockpit it seams to me that it is true and many switches have OFF text on the botom, but unsure while image resolution is to small to see details.
Could you post more detailed photo of such kind of switch used in F-16 cockpit ?

The off position is usually down, aft, or inboard; however, there are some 3-position switches that have off in the middle.

It helps a lot.
