That video was posted several months ago in the usual Chinese way: pretend some casual bypasser runs into a super-top-secret military asset sitting in plain sight for casual observers to see, take a crappy and grainy photo or video of it, add some healthy dose of photoshop or manipulation, and post it on the internet anonymously.

I don't understand why they do things this way. No one is being fooled, and if you want to show off, then just show off. Maybe its for internal consumption purposes.

But he didn't fake the video.

Does China not have isolated areas to do flight testing over? Seems kinda dangerous to do maneuvers over such a populates area, not to mention insecure.

It wasn't a flight test, from what i translated when the video first came out it was a small performance for the workers at the assembly plant. dunno if that's what it actually was, just saw it being posted, would make sense for the flight location.
