So Jim Brown did another interview a few months ago about his experience flying MiG-21 and MiG-23, and interestingly he said that when wings are fully swept, MiG-23 acceleration is insane and accelerates even faster than an F-22. Then again straight line speed and acceleration is one of the few things the MiG-23 is good at, because it’s pretty poor overall.
