I was in the sheet metal shop for my first three years then I moved to the 72d in my last year. I was hoping to find Rick Lastra.

Bubba, do you still check this site? Long time, no hear. I started my career there, in the 72nd AMU, and racked up nearly five years before PCS'ing to Hahn. Thanks for teaching me so much about crewing so long ago. I'm Mark Shirah, from Alabama...now in Texas, still on F-16s.

Still no word on where ol' Fred Meyers wound up? How about any of the other names on the list earlier in the thread?

Saw Steve Z at Eglin recently. He had lunch with my daughter (reservist) and me. He at least still looks the same except all grown up!

Glad to hear from some of the MacDill people. I was there from 74 to 80, went to the kun to help set up the F-16s there, back to MacDill in 82, the 63rd, then went to CAMT as an instructior, then to FTD 311 at MacDill as an Armament Systems Instructur till 1990 when I had to go to selfridge to set up the FTD there. I saw a name earlier, Norm Steinruck, the Studebaker truck guy?
I am still here in Tampa, helpinjg to collect personal storys and images from MacDill. If anyone would like to help out, please contact me. Any era at macDill would be great. Even chock kickers are welcome :)

singe, where did you work at the Kun? real name? No sharing any A-town stories here....

Norm Steinruc? You still around? I still have my Studebaker truck, do you have yours? Mine is usually parked on the flightline during MacDill Airfests. Oh, and by the way, the tail lights of my truck, made from F-16 Nav light housings from the F-16 intake.
