I seen a few articals Ft Wayne is going back to 16's.
It was approved to happen this year. Since all of Madison's jet where sent to other units, I am assuming they will be picking up jets from those units that have extra's now. So more or less everyone's worn out large mouths. Or a mix of small and large mouths like a few unit's have. Any idea's?
Except in this case the transfer is from one ANG unit to another. The recent updates to the F-16 fleet is keeping them up to date, so the hand-me-down philosofy of old days are gone.

Gaurd has one 40 unit one 50 unit 1 52 unit and 2 42 units. All the rest are 30s. Tucson is a outlier but it's not a combat coded wing. They have a mix of all the pratts.
Ft Wayne ANG have been working on the conversion for over a year. I heard their block 40s will come from Holloman. ANG have always been in front of F16 fleet upgrades and modernization. Good luck to Ft Wayne ANG.

I could see them get the squardron of block 40's at holloman. But I really don't think they will get 42's. Toledo and Tulsa are the only units to get 229's in their 42. all the others have 220's. I was told the 42's with the 220s are dogs. Also I don't see another combat coded wing of pratt's. there are only 3 and the are 229's and i also don't think they Guard will mod another wing of 42's with 229's. But that's my opinion. I still think they are getting every one's problem child block 30's.
