Four UK Companies Win F-35 Work

BAE systems has awarded Hyde Aero Products in Dukinfield, RLC Group from Altham in Lancashire, John Huddleston Engineering from Blackpool and Thyssenkrupp in Preston, contracts to work on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF).
The companies will work together to build components for the F-35 fuselage, vertical and horizontal tails and wing tips. All are part of the North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA)—an £8m Aerospace Supply Chain Excellence (ASCE) program which helps companies win new contracts.
The contract could be worth in excess of £250m and span ten years.
