Decorated Colorado ANG pilot retires

October 6, 2003 (by Lieven Dewitte) - Last Sunday, Lt. Col. Greg Brewer took his final flight at Buckley Air Force Base, marking his retirement from the Colorado Air National Guard's 120th Fighter Squadron. After touching down there was a little fun, and celebration for the 1979 Air Force Academy graduate.
Brewer is retiring after 24-and-a-half-years in the military.

He was winner of the Top Gun Award in 1993 and he has flown in all the latest conflicts and wars. When he wasn't on active duty, he was at his job as a pilot for Northwest Airlines.

Their two boys - Logan, 19, and Tyler, 20, both Air Force Academy cadets - joined the flightin the backseat of two other F-16s to celebrate a legacy they hope to continue.
