Lockheed Sees 240 More F16s in 2000 Backlog

August 9, 2000 (by Lieven Dewitte) - Fighter plane deals with Greece, Israel and the UAE, among others, should help Lockheed Martin add 240 F16 jets to its order backlog by the end of 2000.
Other recent deals include contracts from Korea and an agreement with Singapore that should be formally signed within a few months.

With 3, 000 F16 fighters still in service out of 4, 000 manufactured, Lockheed also expects to reap substantial revenues from its upgrade program in the future.
