RBAF F-16s make debut at airshow

January 24, 2010 (by Asif Shamim) - The Royal Bahrain Air Force (RBAF) is to make its international debut at this month's Al Ain Aerobatic Show by sending two F-16s to display during the 4 day event held at Al Ain International Airport in the United Arab Emirates from January 27-30.

"The inclusion of the RBAF will be a major highlight of a show which is the largest in the event's eight-year history. The RBAF pilots are part of an international line up which also features some of the world's top pilots from Croatia, Hungary, Italy, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK and the USA," said Faisal Al Sheikh, Head – Major Events Division, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA).

Held under the patronage of HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Al Ain Aerobatic Show is hosted by Abu Dhabi Airports Company, organised by ADTA and the UAE Air Force and is supported by an extensive list of sponsors.
