F-16D emergency lands at local airport

An F-16D Fighting Falcon assigned to the 56th Fighter Wing made an emergency landing at Wickenburg municipal airport at approximately 10.30h on October 22nd after losing engine power.
The aircraft, F-16D block 25 #84-1328 from 62 FS landed short of the runway, but the crew of 2 pilots was able to exit the aircraft safely.
First responders were on the scene. An investigation by Air Force officials will be conducted to determine the cause of the incident.
