First Belgian presence at the 'Tiger Meet of The Americas'
November 4, 2007 (by
Dirk Geerts) -
After its succesful participation in the yearly NATO Tiger Meet this autumn in Norway at Ørland AB the Belgian 31st 'Tiger' squadron will now send out one of its pilots, Lt. 'Tigger' to participate in the bi-annual 'TMOTA' at Shaw AFB in South Carolina.
The 79FS, equipped with the F-16C, will be the host unit for the 4th edition. Unfortunately due to other commitments (e.g. deployments to the Middle East) various other US units with a cat in their unit-markings had to cancel their presence. A full report from the puppet 'Tigger' will follow next week.
