DynCorp wins contract for UAE F-16 support

February 22, 2007 (by Lieven Dewitte) - The United Arab Emirates signed a USD 62 million contract with DynCorp International to provide technical support for the country's F-16 fighter planes.
The contract was announced at IDEX 2007. The 8th International Defence Exhibition and Conference was held from 18-22 February 2007 at the new Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre

IDEX 2007 concluded after a record breaking run which saw the exhibition attract 862 exhibitors, occupying a record total of more than 32,000 square metres of both indoor and outdoor space. 50 countries were officially represented.

The UAE signed many other deals for military equipment and services during the arms exhibition, totalling more than USD 380 million.
