USAF F-16s make emergency landing in Manila

November 24, 2005 (by Anonymous) - Two U.S. Air Force F-16s based out of Misawa, Japan, made an emergency landing at Ninoy Aquino Manila International Airport in the Philippines on Nov 22nd.
The two F-16C Fighting Falcons had departed from Singapore and one of the jets (90-0824) experienced a hydraulic problem. The pilots radioed Manila requesting to land, which was granted.

The jets were returning from Singapore when the incident occured.

The Airport Assistant General Manager Octavio Lina, was quoted as saying that the malfunction affected the plane's controls, forcing the US pilot named Justine Dupois to land at the nearest airport. The other jet also landing.

Upon arrival, the jet-fighter was moved to a safer location at the airport. There were no injuries among the pilots.
