Belgian F-16s in Kabul performed their first life ground support mission

On October 5th, Belgian F-16AMs deployed to Kabul - Afghanistan, performed their first life close air support missions near Bagram.
The Belgian Air Component F-16s are deployed as part of operation "Eastern Eagle", under the authority of ISAF (International Security Assistance Force). Belgium participates to this ISAF peace force since March of 2002.
At the request of the Dutch ground troops, the Belgian F-16s were engaged to protect field reparation work on an unserviceable ISAF vehicle.
