Misawa F-16 dumps practise bomb in sea

Yesterday at 0915h, a USAF F-16 dumped a concrete practise bomb (907 kg) in the sea about 24-28 km from Rokkashomura, a Japanese village.
The jet belonged to the 35th Fighter Wing, based at Misawa AB, in the Aomori Prefecture. No ground or surface damage reported.
In the morning of the 22nd September, the pilot unsuccessfully tried to launch the bomb in the Misawa Bombing Range, near Rokkashomura.
A bit later, he dumped the bomb beyond the 8 km (from land) border of the bombing range.
