Great Airplane. Brought it through transfer. block 42 pw engine. the only assignment where I was always living ouside the base. almost got shot a couple of times.Only in Las Vegas could you go from the quiet of the desert to the insanity of the strip. It was always hot.

First time I saw this aircraft it was a cann bird . It had 80pages of write-ups. Took two weeks to get if back together. It had birdcrap and dust on it.
Unit 78th Fighter Squadron "Bushmasters" [History]
Period 1995 - 1996
worked in support. worst assignment I ever had. South Carolina was nice.I ended up staying a couple of years after I got out. I really ended up liking it alot. Lots of good people.

Unit 107th Fighter Squadron "Red Devils" [Unit History]
Period 1998 - 2003

this was a great airplane the Dcc was a great guy. I was back home. The ANG was the biggest circus I ever worked for. Lots of good people. This unit was really messed up. The biggest screwups got the most promotions. I just could not take all the politics. That is one reason I bailed out. This unit has someof the biggest screwups I have ever seen in my military career. But they were a good bunch of people overall. Some of are more important to me than my family

I was the DCC on this jet in 1990 until I made Msgt and became the flight chief of Baker Flight....Hahn AB, Fightin' 10th.

I remember the jet as being a high flyer in the squadron...very dependable and yes, an accurate bomber. This was the last jet I crewed in the AF and probably 2nd favorite. !st favorite was the F-4E I crewed at Ramstein...68-480....another high flyer!
