During it's first flight from Andrews after getting transferred here it hit a turkey buzzard on take off. The inside layer of the canopy shattered but the outside layer did not. The plane landed safely and the pilot was not hurt. What was interesting, when the inside layer hit the glare shield it left a shatter pattern in the black paint. | ||||||

I also crewed 80-0534 after the mishap suffered by by first aircraft 80-0484. Jim Hobby was the Crew Chief and i was assistant on F-4D 7667. Miss the 113th.
