I loved crewing the F-16. My first duty assignment was Hahn AB and the first one I crewed was 84-1325. After 2 years in Texas and a year at Taegu I was back on the F-16 at Eglin AFB. I crewed every block F-16 at that base. I also played alot of softball at each one of the bases I was at.
Current or Favourite assignmentThe 496th was the best because I was new in the Air Force and this assignment created the great work habits that I have kept throughout my Air Force career and beyond. The people I worked with were wonderful and Bob Johnson was my trainer. I recieved 2 incentive flights while I was there.DeploymentsI went to Turkey in September of 1985 and to Zaragoza in 1986 (2) and 1987. I also went to RAF Guterslough and Corsica. |

This jet was the first block 25 two seater in country. That meant alot of incentive flights and training flights with high ranking officiers. | ||||||

This assignment was at Eglin AFB, FL. We were a test unit but assigned to TAC. My primary PC was 84-1269 but I touched every block model from block 5 to block 50. After 4 years here I got an assignment to Misawa AB but I turned it down and got out. |

Yes brother, that was my wife you spilled a beer on. (ex-wife, so thanx for that. wink) I remember you had the strongest arm on our softball team. I hated being on the receiving end of those throws. Hope you're doing well brother.
