Sgt. Lively crewed this acft when I first got to Shaw. His whole misiion in life was to have a clean jet no matter how bad it flew.

Crashed killing the pilot, Capt. Dale Thomas Cormier. Pilot was attempting to land at Al Dhafra AB, United Arab Emirates. It was a non-combat loss. Pilot took off on the evening of February 14, 1991 but exact confirmation of the time of loss needs to be determined. Some reports have the loss on February 16 which is not correct.

This jet followed me from active duty at Shaw to the New Jersey Air National Guard ( Jersey Devils)

I decided to try something different and went into the AF Reserves as an EOD Tech.

I came to my senses and stop playing with explosives and went back active duty as an F-16 Crew Chief and was sent right back to Shaw AFB, SC.

Rollin we worked together at Shaw 84-1244 wore Bart simpson as nose art i painted it on there during desert storm Got pics of us together at King Kalid

Wow these birds bring back memories. I was assigned to the 17th AGS before their first 16 arrived. We were crew dogs without anything to crew. I remember when the first one rolled in and we were waiting for it to be accepted. I worked with guys like Walt Shuler, Eddie Gilder and a guy we used to call "chicken coop.".
